"distance"

Our distance language classes are flexible in timetable and location. Your employees can learn the target language at home or in the office during a timetable which is most convenient for them. Furthermore, learning a language on-line with Oxford House has pedagogical advantages.

Our distance courses include:

Telephone or Skype

Courses for individuals via telephone or Skype.

E-Learning

Group courses via our virtual classroom.

Blended learning

Group or individual courses that combine in-person and on-line classes.

For people interested in improving their English quickly, this could be the best option. But since many companies currently offer telephone classes, I advise that before you start you make sure there’s good feedback after every class. In my experience, this is something Oxford House does better than any other language school.

One-to-one courses via telephone or Skype

Telephone / Skype classes are based on tasks, preparation and feedback by e-mail from the teacher.

E-learning: Group courses using our virtual classroom

These are group language courses that the teacher conducts via a virtual classroom. The teacher’s role is very similar to that in a traditional in-person course; he or she answers the students’ questions, corrects exercises, conducts forum conversations and assigns homework. The radical difference is that everything is done using the internet. The students use a virtual classroom instead of a real one.

Each class lasts one full week during which the students log on and participate in the different activities, tasks and forums when it is most convenient. This way, reading, writing and hearing the language is practiced as much as in a traditional class. In order to practice speaking, e-learning can be combined with telephone or skype classes, or with in-person classes.

Prices from €48/hour.
