1. M\u00fasica als Parcs – 02\/06 – 30\/08<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

With 49 free concerts in 30 parks all over Barcelona, M\u00fasica als Parcs will introduce you to jazz, blues, classical music and choirs from local music schools and orchestras. All of the performers are between the ages of 16 and 35, so come along and watch some of the best young talent around.<\/p>\n

2. Sala Montjuic – 29\/6 to 3\/08<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

For film lovers, Sala Montjuic is a must. Set against the beautiful evening backdrop<\/em><\/span> of Montjuic castle, the open air<\/em><\/span> cinema is showing a wide variety of classic and modern films until August 3rd.<\/p>\n

3. Cru\u00eflla Barcelona – 12\/07 – 14\/07<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Cru\u00eflla Barcelona is a top music festival that takes place every July in Parc del F\u00f2rum. This year\u2019s lineup includes Jack White Prophets of Rage, N.E.R.D, Kygo, The Roots and Justice – and many other bands and artists from all over the world. With everything from rock to electronica and reggae, you\u2019ll have an amazing time.<\/p>\n

4. Festival del Grec – July<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Music, plays, dance and performances from all over the world, the Festival del Grec is taking place in various locations all throughout July. Some of the highlights include: Egschiglen, a Mongolian music trio<\/em><\/span> who are dedicated to performing contemporary music with traditional instruments (Harlem Jazz Club, 12\/07) and a Catalan-language performance of \u201cFiloctetes\u201d, a play by Sophocles at the Theatre Grec on 31\/07.<\/p>\n

5. Festes de Gr\u00e0cia – 15\/08 – 21\/08<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Taking place in mid-August, Gracia festival (Festes de Gr\u00e0cia) is one of the highlights of the summer – with a history dating back 200 years.<\/p>\n

Locals decorate<\/em><\/span> their streets in imaginative and magical ways. From scenes from Jurassic Park to myths and popular culture, visitors can walk around amazed, enjoying delicious food and drinks as well as watching local bands perform. Simply head into<\/em><\/span> Gracia during the event and wander into the heart of the action. Your closest Metro stops are Fontana (Green Line) and Joanic (Yellow Line).<\/p>\n

6. Festa Major de Sants – 18\/08 – 26\/08<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

A (slightly) smaller and more intimate affair than the Festes de Gr\u00e0cia; Sants festival will give you the chance to live like a local, enjoying concerts, food stalls and bars and numerous cultural events, including Castellers<\/a>, Gegants<\/a> and the breathtaking Correfoc<\/a>.<\/p>\n
