ENGLISH EXTENSIVE
PAYMENT METHODS

Students can pay for a single term or for all 3 terms before the course starts. The first payment should be made in cash, by cheque, credit card or bank transfer, and all subsequent payments must be made either by direct debit or by credit card through our online secure server, only.

After taking the level test, a place on the course can be reserved by paying a 50€ deposit. This deposit will be deducted from the total of the course. Otherwise, the student WILL LOSE THE RIGHT TO THE PLACE AND THE DEPOSIT.

REIMBURSEMENTS

When the student makes a payment (yearly or termly) and cannot attend classes, THE AMOUNT IS NON REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. If the student let us know that they cannot attend the course, before its starting date, the credit may be deferred to another course during the current school year or they may transfer their place to someone else. Credit can only be used for group classes. When the student defers the credit and resumes classes, there is no possibility of stopping them and deferring this credit once again.

CLASSES

In the event that the school cannot offer these classes in person due to force majeure, they will be held online at the same time as your class. No refunds or postponement of the course are allowed.

MINIMUM NUMBER OF STUDENTS PER GROUP

The minimum number of students per group in this course is 4. If the minimum number of students in a group is not reached, we reserve the right to close the group with the appropriate refund.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STUDENTS PER GROUP

The maximum number of students per group in this course is 8. However, we reserve the right to increase this number, in one person, in case of special circumstances.

WITHDRAWALS

If the student decides not to continue with the course, an email needs to be sent to info@oxfordhousebcn.com and the withdrawal will be governed by the conditions indicated upon registration.

CHANGE OF TIMETABLE/GROUP

Requests for timetable or group change will only be possible with the approval of the Director of Studies and only when there are places available in the desired group. Likewise and according to the point about REIMBURSEMENTS, refunds will not be allowed for change requests that cannot be fulfilled for the aforementioned reasons.

MAKE-UP CLASSES

These courses offer the possibility of making up classes sporadically as long as they are made up within the week of absence and reception is notified at least 24 hours in advance. This is an additional service that we can only offer when there are other groups of the same level at different times than the one the student is enrolled in.

CARNET JOVE DISCOUNT
Study English or Spanish in Barcelon with a discount using the Carnet JoveThe Carnet Jove (youth card) is a service provided by the Generalitat de Catalunya and at Oxford House we offer its holders the possibility of enjoying a discount on various courses.

-10% on a single payment or in one of the installments, if you choose to pay the course in 3 installments. (This discount will be only applicable on the morning -except 08h00-, Friday and Saturday groups).

To receive the discount, you must register in the academy, showing your Carnet Jove card in reception upon registering.

CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT
Students will receive it by email, within two weeks after the end of their course if they have attended a minimum of 75% of the classes. Otherwise, the student can request a certificate of attendance at the reception.

CIVIL LIABILITY INSURANCE

Oxford House has a civil liability insurance policy that covers possible accidents within its centre.

1. Students may cancel a class with at least 24 hours notice in order to make up the class during the same month. To cancel, students must send an email to their teacher and a copy to info@oxfordhousebcn.com, indicating available times to recuperate this class.
2. Classes that are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice cannot be made up.
3. Make-up classes that are cancelled cannot be rescheduled and made up.
4. In the case of group classes, if one of the students cannot attend, there will be no possibility of making the class up or having a refund. In the case of wanting to cancel a class, all students must agree to the cancellation and recovery of the class which has to be organized according to the general cancellation conditions.

PRIVATE CLASSES OFF-SITE
1. Off-site classes should be an 1.5 hours minimum.
2. All classes within 20 minutes from the school will be charged at the same hourly rate.

CHANGES OR DISCONTINUING CLASSES

f you do not wish to continue with your classes or you wish to change the number of hours/month, you must provide Oxford House with written notice by email at info@oxfordhousebcn.com before the 20th day of the month.

Oxford House has a civil liability insurance policy that covers possible accidents within its centre.

PAYMENT METHODS

Students can pay in one payment before the start of the course or in weekly payments before the start of each week. Payments can be made by cash, by card, by cheque (made out to Oxford TEFL SL) or by bank transfer.

If a student chooses to make a bank transfer, all bank charges are paid by the student.

PLACE RESERVATION
p style=”text-align: justify;”>After taking the level test, a place on the course can be reserved by paying a deposit of 25% of the total price of the course. The balance should be paid before the course starts by bank transfer to our Santander account 0030-2012-78-0297750273 (indicating the name of the student) or by card via our online secure server. Otherwise, the student WILL LOSE ITS PLACE IN THE COURSE AND THE DEPOSIT.

REIMBURSEMENTS

When the student makes a payment and cannot attend classes, THE AMOUNT IS NON REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. If the student let us know that they cannot attend the course, before its starting date, the credit maybe deferred to another month during the current school year or to another person. Credit can only be used for group classes. When the student defers the credit and resumes classes, there is no possibility of stopping them and deferring this credit once again.

In the event of the denial of a student visa, the student will need to send official proof of this denial issued by the Spanish Consulate (or Embassy). In this case, Oxford House will reimburse the student’s payment minus a 150€ administrative fee. If this document is not received, not reimbursement can be made in the event of a cancellation.

CALENDAR

Classes that fall on public holidays are not recuperated. Please ask reception or visit our web: https://oxfordhousebcn.com/en//calendario if you are unaware of the public holidays in Barcelona.

2020: January 1, January 6, April 10 and 13, May 1, June 1, August 15, September 11, September 24, October 12, November 1, December 6, December 8, December 25, December 26.

ATTENDANCE LETTER

An attendance letter can be issued to those students that attend at least 80% of the classes. Students can request this letter at reception, at the end of their course.

OFFERS AND PROMOS

Oxford House published offers, promos or discounts cannot be accumulated and they run for a fixed period of time. No changes will be made to course prices booked before a promotion.

STUDENT VISA

Before applying for a student visa, we strongly recommend you review the requirements and conditions at your local Spanish consulate. Oxford House can only certify enrolment in a course once the course fees have been paid in full and if the student sends us a copy of their Passport.

Oxford House is not liable in the case of visas not being granted or delays in the process.
