Encourage your children to take advantage of the summer holidays and pass the Cambridge B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency exams.
Our Cambridge Summer Club is an exam preparation course that is ideal for students aged 12-17 years old. Whether they are studying the exam for the first time or looking for some last minute practice, we have classes to suit everyone.
Classes will be held online or in person – you choose which – always in small groups to ensure individual attention and feedback from the teacher.
At present these exams are necessary to complete university degrees and, for this reason, more and more students are taking advantage of the opportunity to take these exams before the university entrance exams to obtain these qualifications.
The Cambridge mock exam, which is included in the price of the course, will give students a taste of the real thing and will also allow our qualified and experienced teachers to recommend when they’ll be ready to sit the official exam.
Maximum 10 students per group.
Courses are offered for 2 or 4 weeks. You can choose to have your children take face-to-face or online classes.
Month: 5 – 29 July.
1st fortnight: 5 – 15 July.
2nd fortnight: 19 – 29 July.
2,5 hours/day, Monday to Thursday, for 2 or 4 weeks.
In case you decide to have your children take face-to-face classes, Oxford House is located 1 minute from Passeig de Gràcia, in the heart of Barcelona, and offers spacious, modern facilities easily reachable by a range of transport options. Oh! And what’s more, you’ll be able to enjoy our beautiful garden for a moment of relaxation.
Course Content and Format
In these preparation classes you’ll study all parts of the exam, with special emphasis on those that students find most difficult, such as Use of English, Writing, Listening and Speaking. By the end of the course you’ll be familiar with the exam and will be able to complete all its parts with ease and within the allocated amount of time.
What’s more, so that you can measure your own progress over the course, at the end of the first fortnight you’ll take part in a free mock exam where you’ll be evaluated exactly like in the official exam.
Cambridge qualifications certify your skills in English language in a precise, official and reliable way, increasing your chances of access to superior studies and future work opportunities both locally and abroad. The excellent reputation of these exams means your level will be recognized by more than 13500 institutions worldwide.
Oxford House has more than 20 years of experience as an authorized preparation centre for FCE, CAE and CPE exams from Cambridge ESOL.
OHConnect in Edmodo
This year we have introduced an interactive online platform between teachers and students!
The Edmodo app provides each group with a private virtual space in which to share messages and learning resources.
The possibilities it offers are multiple and it it will enhance your child’s experience both in the classroom and outside of it.
The teacher will be able to share with the class all kinds of multimedia resources, challenge them in quizzes, assign tasks, correct them and score them.
Students will be able to keep track of what’s been done in class, increase their hours of exposure to the language with additional materials, organize their homework and study calendar, and check their marks.
Parents will be informed of the activity and progress of their children, and will moreover have the possibility to communicate directly with the teachers.
And what’s more, you can do all this from your mobile!
Does your child need to self-isolate due to COVID?
Don’t worry – their teacher or someone from the academic team will contact you personally each week to check in on their progress, keep them up to date on what’s going on in class, and assign personalised homework to help them keep working towards their goals.
