In addition to being a language academy, Oxford House is also a training center for prospective Spanish language teachers. These trainees work with us onsite to gain valuable teaching practice through an affordable, 2 hour (120 minutes) per week course for Spanish students that you can easily incorporate into your schedule.
If you´re already a student at Oxford House and are currently studying in our Spanish courses, this is the perfect opportunity for you to put what you´ve learned each week into practice.
With engaging and fun activities designed to help you practice all aspects of the language and improve your grammar, pronunciation, comprehension and reading, you needn´t buy a book in order to participate.

Oxford House is located 1 minute from Passeig de Gràcia, in the heart of Barcelona, and offers spacious, modern facilities easily reachable by a range of transport options. Oh! And what’s more, you’ll be able to enjoy our beautiful garden for a moment of relaxation.
The centre has a surface area of 1000m2 with 23 classrooms equipped with computers, projectors and/or smart TV, as well as air conditioning and heating. We also have dedicated study spaces and a beautiful 2-storey garden to enjoy the sun in Barcelona.
In our library, once you have started your course, you will be able to choose books of different genres in Spanish, to deepen your language practice.

Available Levels
A2 (Elementary) and B1 (Intermediate)/B2 (Upper Intermediate).
Initially, you will choose your level with the help of our online level test. During the course, your teacher will recommend whether you need to change levels. Bear in mind that, 200 study/contact hours are requested in order to advance one level in the CEFR (Common European Framework).
You may complement your course with activities that allow you to practice Spanish in a relaxed environment where you have the opportunity to meet people from all over the world.
For example, you can participate in our ”Spanish Experience” events to learn more about the Spanish culture, improving your speaking while visiting interesting places in Barcelona, or by coming to our “Happy Fridays” language exchanges, which are held once a month in different bars throughout the city.
