This course is directed at young learners between the ages of 12 and 17 years who would like to achieve a higher level than is found in most secondary schools. It is also recommended to those who would like to take an official Trinity or Cambridge English exam in the future.
On these English courses for teens, all language skills will be worked on, including speaking, writing and listening skills, with the main objective being the development of students’ understanding and use of English. Classes are completely in English, with a qualified teacher who has experience in teaching teenagers. During the course, teachers incorporate activities and topics that interest teens and provide a number of opportunities to use technology.
We also offer private English classes for those teenagers who need extra support with their English homework or with English in general.

All of the children and teens who study English with Oxford House from October to June have the option to take the Trinity GESE English exam in June. This exam certifies a student’s level of spoken English. It consists of an interview of between 5 and 15 minutes, depending on the student’s level, in which the student is asked to speak on a topic that they have prepared in advance. Preparing for the GESE motivates students and provides them with an objective for the end of the course. While it is an inexpensive exam, it is recognized internationally by various organizations, companies and academic institutions. Oxford House is a registered GESE exam centre and therefore, students taking the exam in June complete it here in our school.
